Contrary to popular belief, Jameson never used her profession as a stepping stone to mainstream acting or as a substitute for a career in entertainment gone bad. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jameson lost her showgirl mother to skin cancer when she was 3 years-old. Left to her own designs by her well-meaning, but constantly working dad, Jameson and her brother, Tony, were free to roam and explore new things, like sex and drugs. While a young teen, she lost her virginity to a boy she liked while passed out drunk at a party. She was later gang-raped by several boys from another high school at a time when her family had moved to Montana—an experience Jameson was convinced she was not meant to survive. Meanwhile, Jameson had developed an addiction to crystal meth—so crippling was her problem that she moved back in with her dad, who had moved to California, to cleanse her system. Then in 1993, Jameson began making softcore pornography, which soon segued into hardcore—surprisingly, with her father’s blessing. Her first video, “Up and Cummers 11,” was made in 1994. At first she only performed girl-on-girl scenes, but soon made her first film with a man, “Cherry Pie” (1994), in which she played a character called Betty Blueballs. Movie Synopsis:
I remember being seriously underwhelmed by this one at Sundance back in January - then again, this is more of a sleepover movie for edgy teenage girls than stimulation for a pudgy guy in his late 30s. Though I will say I expected a bit more from support staff Ana Gasteyer, Sandra Bernhard (who sorta look like sisters these days) and Alan Cumming, whose names are being used to promote the movie, though they have precious little screen time. For the young trio of actors at the center of this drama, let's say they are characterizations that would fade into the background of pretty much any show on the CW.

Dare Hollywood Movie Review :

Dare follows three very different teenagers through the last semester of high school. There are Alexa (Emmy Rossum), the overachieving good girl who longs to break out of her shell; Ben (Ashley Springer), the melancholy outsider confused about his sexuality; and Johnny (Zach Gilford), the rich kid who has everything, including good looks, but hides behind his bad boy persona. This unlikely trio fall into each other's lives and each other’s arms, making a last ditch effort to shake things up before they actually have to start living as adults. Director Adam Salky and writer David Brind takes us into some uncharted territory with fresh eyes and matter-of-fact authority. Sweet and sexy don’t always go together, but they work beautifully in this instance because the sexuality of the film is cleverly woven into the fabric of the story. You can ask why the kids are in such a hurry to experience adult feelings, especially when their parents, comically enough, are afraid to get in the way. All is answered in the nuanced performances of this exceptional cast. They capture perfectly a generation with nothing to rebel against except their self imposed inhibitions. Image Entertainment, Inc. a leading independent licensee and distributor of entertainment programming in North America, announced today that it has acquired all North American rights to "Dare," starring Emmy Rossum ("The Phantom of the Opera"), Zach Gilford ("Friday Night Lights"), Ashley Springer ("Teeth"), Ana Gasteyer ("Mean Girls"), and Rooney Mara ("Nightmare on Elm Street"), along with Sandra Bernhard, Cady Huffman and Alan Cumming. Image will release the film in theaters this Fall, starting with New York and Los Angeles on November 13, 2009.

"Dare" was written and co-produced by David Brind and directed by Adam Salky. The film was produced by Mary Jane Skalski ("Mysterious Skin," "The Station Agent," "The Visitor") and Jason Orans ("Flannel Pajamas," "Goodbye Solo"). The film features a score by Spring Awakening composer Duncan Sheik.

One does not need to witness battles on the screen to understand the horrors of war, as evidenced by screenwriter Oren Moverman’s (“I’m Not There”) incredible directorial debut, “The Messenger.”

Will Montgomery (Ben Foster) has returned from the war in Iraq a decorated hero, but with multiple injuries, he must serve out the final three months of his tour. Relegated to the bleak and thankless work of casualty notification, Montgomery must visit families who have lost a loved one in the theater. His robotic commanding officer, Tony Stone (Woody Harrelson), explains to the disciplined soldier that his new job is about “character” and one that must be done “before you can understand it.”

Reeling from the loss of his girlfriend he left behind to go serve his country, and haunted by the vivid images of war, Montgomery’s sole companion is a pager that goes off at all hours to alert him to his latest assignment. Throughout the movie, its piercing beep acts as a sword of Damocles hanging over his head, an audible device that leaves the audience on the same edge as the soldier.

As Montgomery and Stone enter each residence to notify families of their tragic loss, the camera enters behind them, offering the soldiers’ perspective on this horrible journey of endurance and duty, as they gut-wrenchingly deliver news that will forever change the lives of the people they visit.



Montgomery battles to reconcile his humanity with the emotional detachment required of the job, a function that Stone has assimilated so deeply that he seems to have no connection with his fellow man. As the cold relationship between commanding officer and his charge softens, Stone begins to reevaluate his understanding of war, people and himself.

Montgomery finds a kindred spirit in the form of Olivia Pitterson (Samantha Morton), a grieving military widow and mother of one, who is trying to come to terms with the death of her husband, a man whose soul she felt had already been lost to the brutality of life at war.

The 14th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) wrapped Friday Oct 16 with an awards ceremony followed by closing film The Message, in its international premiere. Co-directed by Taiwan's CHEN Kuo-fu and China's GAO Qunshu, the lavish period epic is a suspenseful spy thriller set in the tense political climate of China in 1942.

Attendance to this year's PIFF was strong with 173,516 theater admissions and 7,270 accredited guests and press, including 860 international participants. PIFF's top prize, the New Currents Award, was shared again this year by two films.
Winners were "I'm in Trouble" by South Korean debut director SO Sang-min - a subtle and controlled comic-drama about the meanderings of a jobless young poet, and the Iraqi feature Kick Off by Shawkat Amin KORKI, about an Iraqi-Kurdish community that finds inspiration in football. The latter also picked up the FIPRESCI award.



A Special Mention went to Squalor by Giuseppe Bede SAMPEDRO of the Philippines. New competition section Flash Forward named Finnish-German co-production Last Cowboy Standing by Zaida BERGROTH as its winner, while adding a Special Mention to Miss Kikki by Taiwanese-Swedish director Håkon LIU.
The Sonje Award for best short film went to "Somewhere Unreached" by KIM Jae-won-I and Rare Fish by Basil Vassili MIRONER of Indonesia. The PIFF Mecenat Award for Documentaries was presented to "Earth's Woman" by KWON Woo-Jung and The Other Song by Saba DEWAN.


A NETPAC award was given to Korean director Park Chan-ok for her second feature "Paju", described by the jury as "a fine example of passionate, high-quality filmmaking". The Audience Award was captured by JIANG Wenli of China for her feature Lan.

According to Chinese legend, there was a female warrior named Hua Mulan who joined the army to fight in place of her father. Mulan was reputed to be a very brave woman who disguised herself as a man and fought in combat for 12 years. She has become an iconic heroine in Chinese and western cultures alike.

Tthe young Mulan sees that her father has been conscripted into the army. Having no older brothers, she decides to dress as a man and goes to war in his place. She spends more than 10 years fighting alongside other male soldiers. Later, the emperor offers her a government post, but she turns it down saying that she would prefer to return home and see her family. At the end of the poem, Mulan finally reveals her female identity to her army comrades, who are shocked to see her as a woman. PAINTED SKIN’s Vicki Zhao Wei has been selected to star in an upcoming fillm about Chinese folk heroine Hua Mulan, the same figure who inspired Disney’s 1998 animated feature MULAN. The news broke at a press conference in Beijing on February 10th where the film’s director Jingle Ma announced commencement of production.

Mulan Mandarin Chinese Film Review :

Hua Mulan is a war-faring female made famous in a Chinese collection of 12th century lyrics and poetry. When the country is threatened by invaders she sneaks away from home, dresses as a man and joins an all-male army where she eventually has a critical role in defending the nation in a time of war.

A feature film about Mulan has been in development for years with a number of actresses considered for the lead role including Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi and Liu Yifei before Zhao was finally picked.
Prior to this official announcement, unconfirmed news had previously been leaked that Zhao had been engaged in horseback and combat training in preparation for the role.

Zhao remains best known in the U.S. for her supporting role opposite Stephen Chow in the action comedy SHOALIN SOCCER. As an active Mandarin pop singer and actress, Zhao is one of mainland China’s leading female entertainers. In 2008 she has prominent roles in Gordon Chan’s PAINTED SKIN and John Woo’s RED CLIFF. She is not an action star by trade but has had some screen fighting experience in past film and television roles under the action direction of veterans like Corey Yuen and Ching Siu-tung.

Chen Kun (PAINTED SKIN) will portray Mulan’s lover. Child actor Xu Jiao will play the young Mulan and Russian pop singer Vitas will make a cameo.

Jingle Ma is a prominent Hong Kong cinematographer-turned director with past action credits that include HOT WAR, TOKYO RAIDERS, SILVER HAWK, SEOUL RAIDERS, PLAYBOY COPS, and most recently BUTTERFLY LOVERS. His films typically possess high-value production and visual standards.



Hong Kong director Jingle Ma thinks mainland actress Zhao Wei is perfect for the role of folk heroine Hua Mulan.
"Zhao Wei has the qualities necessary to cross-play," Ma told the Beijing Times on Tuesday at a press conference for the film "Mulan", where he announced the start of filming.

Previous media reports suggested that Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeoh and Liu Yifei had all been considered for Hua Mulan, a young girl from ancient China's Northern Dynasties, who joined an all-male army to fight the enemies in place of her ailing father.
But the role eventually went to Zhao Wei, whose notable works include "Red Cliff" and "Painted Skin".
The character Hua Mulan was popularized in the West by the 1998 animated Disney film "Mulan".

But director Ma thinks the Hollywood Mulan doesn't match his impression of the heroine. "Zhao Wei's appearance is closer to that in my imagination," Ma says.
Last year, Ma took the directing baton of "Mulan" from Stanley Tong, who was reportedly hoping Zhang Ziyi could play Mulan.

This time around, the gang - Azlee, Mazlan and Wahid go for a vacation to an island resort. Upon their arrival, they discover that the resort isn't what they had expected it to be. It looked deserted and on the verge of bankruptcy. They decide to help the owner, Mansor to restore the resort and attract more tourists. But, things didn't go well. Pada masa yang sama, Azli mendapati Qasidah adalah bekas kekasihnya suatu ketika dahulu dan terpisah akibat tentangan dari ayah Qasidah iaitu En Mansor sendiri.



Azli, Wahid, dan Mazlan mulai berbincang untuk memajukan kembali Ariba Ariba Resort dengan syarat En Mansor membenarkan mereka tinggal disitu selama 2 minggu secara percuma. Setelah mencapai persetujuan, mereka pun giat memulakan operasi untuk memajukan resort tersebut sehinggalah resort tersebut berubah wajah menjadi lebih menarik. Pelbagai aktiviti dirancang tetapi resort tersebut tetap tidak dapat meraih perhatian pengunjung. Mereka tiga sekawan mulai berputus asa dan berhasrat untuk keluar daripada resort itu. Pagi esoknya, ketika mereka bertiga bersiap untuk keluar dari resort itu, mereka ternampak Remy keluar dari pejabat En Mansor dan beliau mengatakan masalah mereka telah selesai kerana Remy akan membantunya semula memajukan semula resortnya, tetapi Mazlan tiba-tiba teringat yang mereka pernah di dalam satu lokap bersama Remy dahulu kerana cubaannya menipu seorang datin. Remy berasa amat marah apabila cubaannya menipu En Mansor gagal dan mengarahkan pembantunya Jonny menculik Qasidah.

Plot Summary:
American astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot on it. Production and release :

The film, which cost approximately $60 million, finished production by June 2009.[3] It is scheduled for release on November 20, 2009 by Sony Pictures Worldwide via their TriStar Pictures division.[4] In November 2007, New Line Cinema had picked up the film's domestic distribution rights; the studio itself was to release the film in the summer of 2009. However, the film’s producers insisted on a November release. TriStar Pictures became the film's home after New Line Cinema became a division of Warner Bros.

Planet 51 Hollywood Movie Review :

I love the idea of the humans as the aliens -- nice about face of the usual. Of course, the aliens aren’t really alien; culturally, they’re not alien at all. But we can expect but baby steps in the evolution of big-budget cinematic science fiction.

This could be the ultimate in colorblind casting: Dwayne Johnson is supplying the voice of the square-jawed Nordic blond astronaut. I’m not sure why the astronaut couldn’t have been square-jawed, dark-haired, and Polynesian, like Johnson, but I guess that wouldn’t have been quite as effective as the stereotype of the Right Stuff jock flyboy.

There will be an overwhelming question in your mind as soon as this movie begins - are the characters of "Planet 51" stolen from other popular animations? The inhabitants are green like Shrek and the aliens look like B.O.B. from "Monsters vs. Aliens".

The movie chronicles the peace-loving denizens of Planet 51 whose lives are disrupted when an astronaut named Captain Charles T. Barker unknowingly lands on their home, thinking there are no lifeforms there. The astronaut (or rather, the alien, as he would be regarded) seeks the help of Lem (Justin Long) to return where he came from and avoid being captured by the Planet 51 soldiers.

To be fair, "Planet 51" does a boast a A-list voiceover cast. Other than Justin Long, you have Dwayne Johnson, Jessica Biel and Seann William Scott as Captain Barker, Neera and Skiff. However, the simple plot behind the movie is not as entertaining as one would have liked. Lem's labourious attempts to find ways to help Barker is especially tiring after a while and this is when the movie comes off rather boring. However, the assorted colours do help its cause.



"Planet 51" is a kid's movie but some adults may enjoy it too. After all, animated movies are the one thing that people who are young at heart can be forgiven for.
Another alien film is invading the cinemas. The animated TriStar Pictures film "Planet 51" is complete with little green creatures, with the exception of one human everyone considers the "alien."
